Xiaomi released Redmi K30 on December 10, 2019- in 3 color variants: Blue, Red, Purple. Redmi K30 makes a great mid-class phone for only $270. Half a year after, Xiaomi Released the Pro version of Redmi K30 on March 27, 2020- in 4 color variants: Neon Blue, Phantom White, Electric Purple, and Cyber Gray. It’s a great flagship phone priced at only $490.

Specifications

Display

Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G comes with a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display having a screen resolution 1080 x 2400 pixels and aspect ratio of 20:9. It has good viewing angles, the pixel density of 395PPI, and 84.8% screen-to-body ratio. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the screen. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro 5G comes with a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display having a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has great viewing angles, pixel density of 395 PPI, and 87.2% screen-to-body ratio. The screen is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Camera

Xiaomi Redmi k30 has a quad rear camera system. It has a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth camera. Redmi K30 can shoot videos on 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 30/120fps, and 720p at 960fps. It also has a dual front camera 20MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera.

Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro also has a quad rear camera system. 64MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP telephoto macro camera, and 2MP depth camera. It can also record videos on 8k at 24/30fps, 4K at 30/60fps, 1080p at 30/60/120/240fps and 1080p at 960fps for slow motions. It has a single 20MP motorized pop-up selfie camera.

Configuration

Xiaomi Redmi K30 has a Snapdragon 730G chipset (The “G” stands for gaming), which is a great mid-class chipset. It will handle both gaming and everyday usage without problems. Redmi K30 has an Adreno 618 GPU, which is good for graphical effects. It comes in 4 variants: 6GB RAM / 64 GB storage, 6GB RAM / 128GB storage, 8GB RAM / 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM / 256 GB storage. All of them will handle multitasking easily. Storage won’t be a problem since storage is expandable through SD card.

On the other hand, Redmi K30 Pro 5G has a Snapdragon 865 5G chipset, which is one of the best 5G chipsets. It will handle both gaming and everyday usage without any problems. It has an Adreno 650 GPU, which is great for graphical effects. Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro also comes in 4 versions: 6GB RAM / 128GB storage, 8GB RAM / 128 GB storage, 12GB RAM / 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM / 256GB storage. All of them will handle multitasking smoothly. Storage shouldn’t be a problem because it’s also expandable through SD card.

Battery

Redmi K30 comes with a Li-Po 4500 mAh battery, which should provide you about 1-2 days of usage. It has a 27W fast charging technology, so it should recharge your battery in 68 minutes. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro 5G comes with a Li-Po 4700 mAh battery, which should provide you about 1-2 days of usage. It has a 30W fast charging technology, so it should recharge your battery in 63 minutes. It also does not support wireless charging.

AnTuTu benchmark

AnTuTu is a Benchmark app for android users. It gives your device an overall numerical score as well as an overall score for each test it performs. It’s useful for comparing your device’s speed and performance with other options on the market.

According to AnTuTu scores, Xiaomi Redmi K30 got a score of 218.200 which is better than 84% of the phones. While Redmi K30 Pro 5G got a score of 588.608 which is better than 99% of the phones.

Which one you should buy?

Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro 5G is much better than Redmi K30 4G but it also comes with a higher price. So if you have a higher budget we recommend you Redmi K30 Pro since it’s a great flagship phone. But if you want to save money and also have a great phone go for the Xiaomi Redmi K30.
