Xiaomi Poco M3: Review & Unboxing

Xiaomi recently released the new Xiaomi Poco M3 and we can say that this one is a real budget beast. It is not only the most inexpensive cell phone with good technical stuffing, but it also has an impressive design. They released it on November 27, 2020. And it currently starts at only $149 which makes him as we said the budget beast.

Design

Poco did a great job of designing this phone in a unique way. To begin with, the Poco M3 is all screen at the front. The bezels are sufficiently little, there is a waterdrop-like formed indent, and everything is covered with a Gorilla Glass 3. The back panel is made of a slightly curved plastic. The phone comes in 3 color variants: black, yellow, and blue. All of the colors available looks great on the Poco M3. Likewise, on the back, you’ll see this huge bit of dark glass, which houses the camera arrangement and the huge POCO logo. The camera looks brutally good and really sets this phone apart from the crowd.

Display

This budget beast has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD Display, with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The screen is very bright having a screen brightness of 400nits. Overall the screen-to-body ratio is great for this price range since this phone has an 83.4% screen-to-body ratio. If you’re clumsy and your phone often falls out of your hands, don’t worry this one is protected with amazing Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Xiaomi Poco M3 Camera

The new Xiaomi’s budget phone has a triple camera system on the back: 48MP main camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth camera. Those camera’s features an incredible bright LED flash, HDR, and panorama mode. It can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps. About selfie camera, Xiaomi Poco M3 has a single 8MP selfie camera. Selfie camera features panorama shooting and can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

Configuration

Xiaomi Mi Poco M3 is equipped with incredible Qualcomm SM6115 Snapdragon 662, which is a better Snapdragon 660. This chipset has a performance and efficiency combination and is similar to what we’ve already seen on the Snapdragon 660. The chipset is paired with Adreno 610 GPU, yes the same one that goes in much better Snapdragon 665. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage depending on how much you paid. If you buy this phone you should not worry about storage because it is expandable via sd card.

Battery Capacity

Huge 6000mAh Li-Po battery is packed in the newest Xiaomi Mi Poco M3. This massive battery will last you 2 days minimum, and wats even better is that this phone supports 18W fast charging so you can recharge the whole battery in around an 1.5 hour.

AnTuTu is an app used to determine a phone’s strength. It’s one of the best ways to check the strength of your phone. You can use it to compare phones when you are looking for a new phone. It gives your gadget a numerical score according to its specifications. With all that said, according to AnTuTu score the new Xiaomi Poco M3 has a score of around 171k which is better than 75% of the phones available on the market.

Unboxing

The newest Poco M3 comes well-packed in a premium looking dark yellow box, that comes with a lot of tiny gadgets. Besides the phone, there is a USB cable, 22.5W QC3 charger, transparent case, sim ejection tool, and a screen protector. Xiaomi really gave away a lot of things with this phone, keep in mind its only $149!

Verdict

It is a great phone! Don’t get us wrong, the new Xiaomi Poco M3 is definitely not a perfect phone, but it doesn’t have to be because it’s priced at only $149. It has an impressive 6.53-inch Display, a long-lasting battery, good speakers, and the camera is the best for this price. For this price range, this is definitely the best phone you can find! We recommend it for everyone who wants’s to save some money!
