Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra Review: 120W fast charging

Xiaomi is recently celebrating 10 years of making smartphones by releasing a new and much-improved version of its Mi 10 smartphone from earlier in the year. The new Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is even more top end than the previous Mi 10 Pro, with an improved screen, better cameras, and much quicker charging than any of its predecessors.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra was announced on August 11 and launched on August 16. It comes 3 color variants: Obsidian Black, Mercury Silver, and Transparent Edition. And it’s currently priced around $900.

Mi 10 Ultra Design

New Xiaomi Mi 10 phone from the front looks just like the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. A big device with a screen that curves at the edges, and which is broken up by a punch-hole cutout at the top left. But when you turn the phone around the differences come around. The Mi 10 Ultra has a huge rear camera array and 3 new colors which we mentioned on the start.

Specifications

Display

New Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra has one of the best displays in the flag-ship category. It has a 6.67-inch OLED display having a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. The display itself has a great viewing experience and a display density of 386 PPI. Screen to body ratio is 89.5% which is great. It comes with a 12HZ refresh rate and Xiaomi protected the whole screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Camera Quality

Mi 10 Ultra has a quad-camera system on the back: 48MP main camera, 48MP periscope telephoto camera that has 5x optical and 120x hybrid zoom, 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and 20MP ultra-wide camera. This phone can shoot 8k videos at 30fps, 4k at 30/60 fps, and 1080p at 30/60/120/240/960 fps. On the front, Mi 10 Ultra has a single 20 MP selfie camera. The selfie camera can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps and 720p@120fps.

Configuration

New Xiaomi phone is provided with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. Which will offer the best performance for gaming and other usages. It has an Adreno 650 GPU, which is great for the graphical effects while 8GB / 12GB / 16GB of RAM will handle both gaming and multitasking easily. It comes with 128GB / 256GB / 512GB of storage, and memory won’t be expandable through SD card.

Battery

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra has a 4500mAh Li-Po battery which should last more than a day of usage. It also comes with a 120W fast charger, which can recharge your battery from 0%-100% in just 23min. It has 50W fast wireless charging which will recharge the battery from 0-100% in 40 min. And it also comes with Reverse 10W wireless charging.

AnTuTu benchmark

AnTuTu is a Benchmark app for android users. It gives your device an overall numerical score as well as an overall score for each test it performs. It’s useful for comparing your device’s speed and performance with other options on the market. According to AnTuTu scores, Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra got a score of 589k points which is better than 98% of the smartphones available.

Should you buy it?

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is an excellent flagship smartphone. It has great specs and an excellent 120HZ display. Its camera system has been ranked as one of the best smartphone cameras for this year by DXOMARK. And it definitely has the fastest charging available on the market. So if you are looking to buy a flagship phone you should definitely consider buying this one.
