Samsung Insider Reveals Galaxy Note 20 Surprise Release

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is shaping up to a great device which is no surprise as Samsung has been known to consistently put out great handsets as part of its prestigious and flagship Note series, looking to the Samsung Galaxy note 20 for 2020. Samsung is using this upcoming device to correct a lot of mistakes Samsung did with the S20 series launched a few months ago like price. Samsung is also taking the circumstances of the times that has delayed almost everything in the lineup for launching this year 2020.

SamMobile has shown reliability in the news of leaks in past years whose most recent source information from South Korea about the Note 20 revealed that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note 20 line-up on August 5. If this new speculated development turns out to be true then it would be the earliest release in the range’s history. The same with the Galaxy Fold line as the leaks also suggest the second-generation Galaxy Fold 2 will launch alongside the Note 20.

Samsung is trying to grab the bull by the horn here. Breaking rumoured news coming from Apple this past week goes that the launch of their next-generation iPhone, the iPhone 12, will be pushed back to September or October due to the novel coronavirus. Samsung is planning to fill the gap left by the pushed iPhone 12 release to grab more market share.

With the launch now fast approaching, further Galaxy Note 20 details are leaking out and SlashLeaks has now attained renders of Note 20 and Note 20+ retails cases which show off both phones’ new designs. These match the renders by Onleaks (above and below) with Samsung keeping a soft edge display, unlike the Galaxy S20 series which move to flat panels only. This is an interesting differentiator between the two lines and with edge displays polarizing opinion, a potentially smart way to please both sides.

More reports from SamMobile goes that the Fold 2, which will sport an updated huge display when open, will not have support for Samsung’s S Pen, despite rumours earlier rumours that the device will support the S-pen. This is because the Fold 2 is understood to use a new glass coating which would be unable to withstand impact from the S Pen tip over time. In better news, SamMobile says the August 5 launch will now have three further device launches alongside the Note 20 range and Fold 2, these are the Galaxy Z Flip 5G (the 5G version of the existing Flip model), a Galaxy Tab S7 tablet and Galaxy Watch 3 – both Samsung’s tablets and smartphones are considered among the best iPad and Apple Watch alternatives, so these are likely to be hot ticket items.

SamMobile explains that the launch will (understandably) be online-only, but Samsung is pulling out all the stops to correct the mistakes made by its overpriced Galaxy S20 models. With this in mind, the company looks set to rebrand the S20 Ultra-beating Galaxy Note 20 Ultra as the Note 20 Plus and release it with a price to match the S20 Plus instead. Less is known about the Fold 2, though what has leaked does impress.
