Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G: Release date & Price

Samsung has announced the 5G version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip on July 22. Galaxy Z Flip 5G is nearly identical to the 4G version. The major changes include the 5G radios, upgraded Snapdragon 865 Plus processor, and the $70 bigger price ($1449.99). New Galaxy Z flip will come with two fresh premium colors: Mystic Grey and Mystic Bronze. Samsung said its soft-touch coating will minimize fingerprints. It should be available from August 7, 2020.

Display

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G will come with a 6.7-inch Foldable Dynamic AMOLED display having screen resolution 2636 x 1080 pixels. It will have a great viewing experience, a pixel density of 425PPI. The display will come with a bezel-less design. Its cover display has a 1.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 112 x 300 pixels.

Camera

Z Flip 5G will have a dual rear camera system. It has a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G can shoot videos on 4K at 30/60 fps, 1080p at 60/240 fps, and 720p at 960fps for some great slow-motions. It also has a 10MP selfie camera that will capture some great selfies. The selfie camera can record 4k videos at 30 fps.

Configuration

Samsung’s new flip phone has a Snapdragon 865+ chipset, which is one of the best chipsets out there. It will handle both gaming and everyday usage easily. Z Flip 5G has an Adreno 650 GPU, which is great for graphical effects. It comes with 8GB RAM and 256 GB of storage, which will handle multitasking easily. Storage could be a problem since it is not expandable through the SD card.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will come with a Li-Po 3300 mAh battery, which will provide more around a day of usage. It has a 15W fast charging technology, so it should recharge its battery in around an hour. It also supports fast wireless charging technology.

AnTuTu benchmark

AnTuTu is a Benchmark app for android users. It gives your device an overall numerical score as well as an overall score for each test it performs. It’s useful for comparing your device’s speed and performance with other options on the market. According to AnTuTu scores, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G got a score of 625k points which is better than 99% of the smartphones available.

Flex mode

Easy and simultaneously view and control content with the Galaxy Z Flip’s custom-built user experience, which utilizes its unique forward folding form factor. When the device is freestanding, the display will automatically split into two 4-inch screens so you can view content on the top half of the display, and control it on the bottom half.

With the new Flex mode, enjoy watching your favorite YouTube channel hands-free. While streaming on the top half of your device, you can browse, read descriptions, and comment on the bottom half. Plus with purchasing a new Galaxy Z Flip you will get 4 months of YouTube Premium for free.

Camera Update with Flex mode- Now it is even easier to shoot from higher and lower angles with the new Galaxy Z Flip. Wheater you want to capture low-angle action videos or photos of your meal just double-tap in Flex mode to switch the camera’s preview window from the top to the bottom half of the device.

Multi tasking

Simply multi-task with a new Multi-Active Window by using the Multi-Window Tray to drag and drop the apps you want to use. App Pair is a feature that allows opening and access two apps at once in the Multi-Window Tray, so when you are ready to share photos with a friend, your Gallery and Messaging apps will open simultaneously. Multi-window Tray is a part of a more robust Edge Panel integration, for added convenience providing access to more apps.
