Introducing the Small, yet MIGHTY A51

Are you interested in buying a Samsung Galaxy A51? Back in the days, major smartphone brands were releasing just a few new models per year. Today, the situation is different. Instead of one A5 phone, there’s A50, A51, lite versions, economy versions and whatnot. All these things make it difficult for users to make the right choice. However, by reading a detailed Samsung Galaxy A51 review, you should be able to make a smart decision. Samsung Korea started 2020 by releasing Galaxy A51, a mid range smartphone that is utterly beautiful inside and out. With the help of the review we’ve prepared here, you will know whether Samsung Galaxy A51 suits you or not.

Appearance and built

One of the things that make Samsung phones stand out is their design. It is obvious that the designers that are working for this Korean company are quite inventive and almost all their devices in the last decade were successful. As a matter of fact, many manufacturers are “inspired” by Samsung’s designs. Of course, Samsung Galaxy A51 is not different. This is a good-looking device with a body that has an average size.
The dimensions of A51 are similar to the rest of the phones that belong to this category – 6.24 x 2.90 x 0.31 inches or 158.5 x 73.6 x 7.9 millimeters. That’s enough for users to hold the phone without worrying about dropping it, but also enough to view mobile content in a good way. This model weighs 6.07 oz (176 grams). It’s protected with Gorilla Glass 3 (glass front side), plastic frame and plastic back.

Platform

The good news is that since this is a new model that was released in December 2019, it comes with the latest Android operating system at the moment. So, we are talking about Android 10.0. Of course, once there are newer versions, users will have a chance to update their devices without any problems. It’s also good to know that Samsung A51 uses One UI 2 which according to many experts is one of the best user interfaces at this moment.
The chipset you can find here includes Exynos 9611 at 10 nm. This is a mobile device with an Octa-core CPU that includes 4 x 2.3 GHz Cortex-A73 and 4x-17. GHz Cortex-A53. Finally, the GPU used in A51 is Mali-G72 MP3. All these things mean that Samsung has developed a nice budget-friendly smartphone that promises great performance without any hassles.

Samsung Galaxy A51 AMOLED Display

Here’s another thing that makes Samsung devices different. Samsung Galaxy A51 uses an ultramodern Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that features 16 million colors. Even though we can’t compare the size of the screen (especially screen-to-body ratio) with high-end Samsung models, we can still say that Samsung Galaxy A51 has a good display size. By good, we mean a 6.5-inch display that boasts 102 square centimeters of the surface. This means that there’s around 87.4% screen-to-body ratio.
As for the resolution, you can expect high resolution at 1080 x 2400 pixels. With a 20:9 ratio, this means that users can expect a density of around 405 pixels per inch. So, with the help of this resolution, you can watch movies in excellent quality. Once again, we should remind potential users that the display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass class 3.

Camera Specs Samsung Galaxy A51

Your smartphone can have a good display and nice stuff under the hood, but it doesn’t have a good camera you will miss an important feature. Luckily, Samsung Galaxy A51 is not one of those phones. Instead of one or two cameras, this device has four main cameras positioned at the back of the phone. The most powerful one is the wide 48 MP camera followed by a 12 MP ultrawide camera. The other two cameras come with 5 MP each. One of them has a dedicated macro camera while the other is equipped with a depth sensor. Additionally, these main cameras feature panorama, HDR and LED flash. They are able to capture 2160p videos at 30 frames per second as well as 1080p videos at 30, 60 and even 120 frames per second.
The selfie camera placed on the front side won’t disappoint users either. This time, Samsung has decided to use a 32 MP wide camera. In this case, you can expect, LED flash and panorama features, but there’s HDR. This technology is very important for those who want to take photos in livelier colors. Finally, you can take Full HD videos (1080p) with the selfie camera at 30 fps.

Samsung A51 Battery Life

If we take a closer look at the battery, we will notice that it’s upgraded compared to similar Samsung models released in 2018 which makes sense. Samsung Galaxy A51 comes with a non-removable Li-Po battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh. What’s great is that you can charge this battery fast with the help of the fast battery charging feature that works at 15W. Although this is a relatively new smartphone, the first tests have suggested that people can talk up to 32 hours before the battery is drained. In addition, they can play music up to 87 hours before they have to plug the phone to the charger.

Features

We can’t say that the regular features found in Samsung A51 are impressive or something that we can’t find in other models that belong to the same class, but the good thing is that these features are working without any hassles. When it comes to specific features, you can expect to find a gyro, accelerometer, an optical fingerprint (located just under the display), a proximity sensor, compass, and ANT+
