New Samsung Galaxy A42 is one very weird smartphone! It was promoted as the least expensive 5G telephone and prodded for quite a long time before its total specs were at last out. Galaxy A42 made quite a better success than its predecessors(A4O and A41). On top of all, this phone is also a great gaming device with a pretty large battery. So yes Samsung Galaxy A42 is very weird but in the best way!

Price & Release date

Samsung released the Samsung Galaxy A42 smartphone earlier this year. They announced it on September 02 and released it two months later on November 11. The lowest price we found on the internet is around $370. This phone also comes in three premium looking colors: Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White, and Prism Dot Gray

Samsung did a great job when it comes to packing this little guy. Samsung Galaxy A42 5G comes in a basic white paper box. Besides the phone, you will find a 15W fast charger, USB-C cable, some basic Samsung headphones, and a transparent silicone case.

Quality Display

Samsung Galaxy A42 has a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED Display, with a low screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and it has 266 PPI pixel density due to low resolution. The screen-to-body ratio of this phone is 84.3%, great for this price! If you drop your phone frequently, think twice before buying this one since it doesn’t have any kind of protection.

Samsung Galaxy A42 Camera

This great phone is equipped with four cameras on its back: a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth camera. This quad-camera system features LED flash, panorama mode, and HDR. The phone itself can shoot 4k videos at 30 fps. On the front, there is a single 20MP selfie camera. The selfie camera features HDR mode, so the photos you take will have a great quality. The selfie camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30 fps.

Samsung’s budget 5G phone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 5G chipset, one of the best mid-class 5G chipsets. This processor is paired with Adreno 619 GPU to ensure the best performance. It comes with 4GB / 6GB / 8GB of RAM, so the multitasking won’t be a problem. When it comes to storage you can only go with 128GB but that is not the problem since you can expand it through a micro SD card.

Battery Life

The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a huge 5000 mAh Li-Po battery. This cell phone upholds 15W quick charging, which means this phone will recharge from 0%-100% in around 1.5 hours. It doesn’t uphold any kind of wireless or converse charging.
