How To Grade A Refurbished Phone
Follow these instructions to grade a refurbished phone:
Step 1 Analyze The Phone Condition
Hold the phone in your hand. Examine the phone frame, back cover, and screen. Carefully examine the phone for at least 5 to 10 minutes. It is better to analyze the phone’s condition in a bright room.
Step 2 Look For Scratches
Observe the phone edges and rear cover. If you find any scratches, note them down. If the phone has no scratches, it is an A+ or A-grade phone. A phone with a few scratches could be a B-grade phone. However, if you note a lot of scratches around the phone's edges and back cover, it could be a C-grade phone. But, if the phone frame is broken or has a lot of scratches and cracks, it is a D-grade phone.
Step 3 Examine The Screen
Analyze the phone screen. You can do a nail test to analyze how intense a screen crack is. It is not a good sign if your nail interferes with the phone's screen crack. A+ and A-grade phones have almost no scratches and cracks on the screen. The B-grade phone has some screen scratches. C-grade phone has more scratches than a B-grade phone.

Inspect the rear camera lenses of a refurbished phone. You can take a picture with the phone to get a good idea of the condition of the rear camera lenses.
