Realme is an offshoot of the Chinese brand Oppo and aims to provide cheap smartphones for the “young people around the world”. And lately, Realme really surprised us with some great budget phones like the Realme C12.

Release date and price

Realme C12 was announced and released on 14 August 2020. Its available in 3 color variants: Marine Blue, Coral Red, and Silver. And it will only cost around $130, which is making it very affordable.

Specifications

Realme C12 Display

C12 comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display, having a screen resolution of only 1560 x 720 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has okay viewing experience and the pixel density of only 270 PPI. Screen to body ratio is 81.7% which is great for this price. Screen is also protected with Gorilla Glass. Overall, it has a great display for the price of only $130.

Camera Quality

Realme C12 has a triple camera system: 13MP main camera, 2MP depth camera, and 2MP macro camera. This phone can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps. The camera includes HDR, LED flash, and a panorama system. It has a 5MP main camera that can also shoot 1080p videos at 30fps. And for this price those cameras are great.

Configuration

Realme C12 is provided with MediaTek Helio G35 chipset, which is a good low-end octa-core chipset. It has PowerVR GE 8320 GPU, which will provide okay graphical effects. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage, which is impressive for this price range. Storage also won’t be a problem because it’s expandable through micro SD.

Battery

It comes with a non-removable Li-Po 6000 mAh battery, which will provide around 2 days of usage, while its 10W fast charger will recharge this huge battery in 2 hours. Battery drain tests showed that this phone can handle around 32 h video playback.
