Oppo Reno 2Z was launched in September 2019, only a few months after the original Reno series. It comes in two versions: 8GB RAM/128GB and 8GB RAM/256GB, and three color options: Sky White, Luminous Black, and Polar Light colors. It costs somewhere around $450.

Reno 2 Z OLED Display Assembly – How Good is it?

Oppo Reno 2Z comes with a 6.53-inch Super-AMOLED display, having a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 19.5: 9 screen ratio. It has a great viewing experience and the pixel density of 395PPI adds crispness and clarity. The screen-to-body ratio is 91.1%, which is stunning. Gorilla Glass 5 protects both the front and back of the phone.

Oppo Reno 2Z Camera Quality

It comes with a quad-camera system on the back, 48MP Ultra-clear Main Camera, 8MP Wide Angle Lens, 2MP Mono Lens, and 2MP Portrait Lens. Ultra Dark Mode and Ultra steady video functions are features only available for Reno 2Z. The Ultra Dark Mode turns on automatically when the scene brightness is below 5lux. It works best when the brightness is between 0.3lux – 1lux (“Lux” is the standard unit of measure for illumination (i.e. brightness) of a surface at a given point). Ultra steady video is a feature that can effectively improve the anti-shake level when shooting clips. For example, in sports scenes such as running, skiing, and skateboarding, you can make a more stable and non-jittering video effect.

At the front, there is a great 16MP pop-up camera, which is a rather nice camera to capture selfies. This camera has freefall and atmosphere light features. Freefall protection will sense when your phone is dropped and promptly retract the camera, and atmosphere light provides an atmospheric countdown timer for selfies and flash.

Chipset Configuration

Oppo Reno 2Z is provided with Mediatek MT6779 Helio P90 chipset. This chipset will offer great performance for gaming and other usages. It has PowerVR GM9446 GPU, which is great for the graphical effects, while 8GB RAM will handle both gaming and multitasking easily. It comes with 128GB/256GB of storage, which is expandable through SD card (up to 1TB).

Oppo Reno 2Z Battery Capacity

It comes with a non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery, which will provide 1+ days of usage, while its 20W fast charger will recharge the battery in 90 minutes. Battery drain tests showed that this phone can handle 6 hours of non-stop gaming before the battery goes down to 0% (The game played in the battery drain test – PUBG Mobile).

Reno 2Z Unboxing

The phone comes in a sleek white box. You get an Oppo branded rubber case, which is a bit of a step-up from just a standard transparent case. You also get a 20W fast charger right in the box. And there are some 3.5mm earphones because you do actually get a headphone jack with Oppo Reno 2Z.

Yes, OPPO Reno 2Z is a great device as this phone comes with Helio P90 chipset, which offers a great experience. It also comes with 48 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP Quad Rear Camera with LED Flash. This camera takes photos with great colors and superior quality. The phone also gives you: an optical under-display Fingerprint Scanner, 16 MP Pop-Up Selfie Camera, and a high qualty 6.53 inch AMOLED Panoramic Screen.
