LG is back in the game! There was a lot of discussion about LG leaving the smartphone market soon(there’s a ton of clashing data on that), but right now this company is definitely still in the smartphone game!

They launched their new smartphone the LG K42 back in September last year. It’s a great budget phone that is advertised to be extremely durable, India even uses these for their military phones. When it comes to price, it just gets better this phone costs just around $150.

Specifications

Display

LG K42 has a huge 6.6-inch IPS LCD Display, with a solid screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. This military phone comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio and an 83.1% screen-to-body ratio. Overall the display is great for this money.

Camera

The new LG K42 smartphone has a quad-camera setup on the back: 13MP main camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth camera. Those cameras feature LED flash, panorama, and HDR mode and they can shoot 1080p videos at 30 fps. About the front, there is a single 8MP selfie camera that can shoot 1080p videos at 30 fps as well.

Configuration

It is equipped with Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22, a low-end processor capable of everything if you are not a heavy user. This incredible budget CPU is paired with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. LG K42 has 64GB internal storage and 3GB of RAM. Overall for its price, it’ll work great.

Battery Capacity

LG K42 comes with huge 4000 mAh Li-Po battery, which paired with this phones low specs should last you around 2 days. It also supports 10W fast charging, so you should recharge your battery in around an hour and a half.

AnTuTu Benchmark

AnTuTu Benchmark is the best way to define how powerful a telephone is. It gives your phone a numerical score based on its specifications. People use it for comparing your device’s speed and performance with other cell phones on the market. According to pieces of information from AnTuTu Benchmark, LG K42 got a score of around 94k which means it’s better than 60% of the phone currently available on the market.
